Soldering the ADC board
This page contains a guide on how to solder the ADC board
The ADC (analog to digital converter)
The ADC comes in a bag with a long line of pins. Take the ADC out of the bag and break the line of pins into two parts of 6 pins each.
Solder the pins onto the ADC with the small ends going into the ADC. You can use the ADAFRUIT protoboard to hold keep the pins straight.
Pins soldered onto ADC Solder the ADC into the middle of the protoboard with the analog pins facing towards the left.
Now solder two wires from GND and VIN on the ADC into the + and - lines on the protoboard.
Then solder on two long wires (about 12cm, can be cut down later when assembling) from the top of the + and - lines on the protoboard which will go to the main board later.
ADC soldered onto protoboard with power wires Solder one long green wire and one long yellow wire (about 12cm) to the SDA and SCL lines respectively on the protoboard.
Then solder a long blue wire (about 12cm) to the A0 line on the protoboard.
SCL, SDA and analog wires soldered Lastly cut the bottom of the wires so they are flush with the bottom of the protoboard.
