The battery pack
This page explains how to assemble the battery pack
NOTE: This battery pack can be replaced with one of similar size you only need to ensure that its between 3.3 and 5v.
NOTE: We ordered special batteries that were two large for the battery holder we chose and had to cut it in two to make them fit. These batteries are a better fit for the holder and should make the battery pack smaller and easier to assemble.
Steps
Cut out a piece of the prototyping board 84.5mm x 40.5mm or 32 x 31 holes. After cutting the protoboard use sandpaper to smooth out the sides of the piece.
Protoboard marked for cutting Cut and sanded protoboard Cut the battery holder in half. (this may not be needed if you have standard sized batteries, our batteries are 70mm instead of the normal 65 and did not fit.)
immage
Use a small drill bit (3mm) and drill 4 holes in a rectangle halfway into the prototyping board on the side with out solder points being careful that you don't go through the board. The bottom two holes should be placed two holes from the bottom and have 29 holes between them. the two upper most holes should have seven holes in-between them selves and the bottom holes. (check the hole guide at the bottom of the page)
Protoboard with drilled holes Insert the two halves of the battery holder into the holes on each side of the board and solder them in place.
IMMAGE
Cut two small wires one red and one black and solder them in-between the contact points for the battery holder.
Cut two long wires one red and one black with the red one being larger then the black one and solder them onto the positive and negative side of the battery holder respectively. (check wiring diagram at bottom of page)
Back side of the board Insert the batteries with the positive side facing the red wires and tape them in place.
Batteries taped in place Lastly some electrical tape on the backside of the battery to prevent short circuits.

Adding the button / switch
Solder the power cable onto the button and then solder a new cable onto the outgoing pin on the button.
Backside of button. Battery and button.
